Daily Bible Podcast Day 279 – Esther 9-10, Luke 19

“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” ~Luke 19:10

Zacchaeus is the lost one referenced here. Even though he was very successful, he was hated by the Jews for becoming wealthy at their expense by collecting the taxes that would go to the hated Romans. Zacchaeus repents, however, and is saved.

If I’m supposed to be like Jesus, what am I doing to seek and save the lost? Does the part that I play in the church contribute to that happening? Do the churches I serve do a good job at this? If not, what then?

Father, I know that part of my job as a Christian is to do my part in seeking and saving the lost. Give me a clear vision of how that works given my gifts and talents. Also, make me aware of ways that I can help lead the churches that I serve to do a better job as well. Whatever I am supposed to do, please make it clear to me through Your Spirit.
