Scripture:
“‘I will bring them back from captivity and return them to Upper Egypt, the land of their ancestry. There they will be a lowly kingdom. It will be the lowliest of kingdoms and will never again exalt itself above the other nations. I will make it so weak that it will never again rule over the nations.'” ~Ezekiel 29:14-15

Observation:
God is speaking through Ezekiel. At the time of this writing, Egypt was a mighty nation that had ruled over many. We know today of its riches and power through archaeological findings. However, Egypt drew God’s punishment. As a result, the once-great kingdom has never again been great. Today, it is certainly not a world power as it was many years ago.

Application:
Anytime I might start to doubt or forget the greatness of God, I only need to think about the “predictions” made ahead of time that came true. Egypt was brought low by God and remains so to this day, as further proof of God’s dominion.

Prayer:
Father, You are great and powerful and whatever You want to happen, happens. Help my occasional doubts of Your Kingship. Show Your power in my life to break down spiritual strongholds and spiritual enemies. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
