Daily Bible Podcast Day 233 – Jeremiah 21, 24, 27, Psalm 118, 1 John 2

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.” ~Psalm 118

The rest of the Psalm recounts the ways in which God has come to the aid of the Psalmist. God is on the side of those who believe in Him. I also think the use of the word “endure” is interesting. Endurance is used when one is doing something difficult. I don’t know if God finds it “difficult” exactly (is anything hard for God?) but I suspect that if anything is hard for Him, it’s maintaining love for people who have trouble obeying Him.

No matter what I have done or will do, God’s love endures forever. In my moments of doubt and feelings of unworthiness, God’s love endures forever.

Father, thank You for Your love and Your patience. Thank You for enduring and not giving up. You could have cut mankind loose and we would have deserved it. Instead, in Your love, You endured the time and the frustration and in Christ endured the cross to bring me back to You. In my self-doubt, I remember Your endurance.
