Scripture:
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.” ~Hebrews 11:1-2

Observation:
What follows is a list of Old Testament heroes and the faith they displayed. Their faith is why they are, in fact, heroes. They did what God asked them to do, even though what was promised couldn’t be seen yet.

Application:
Do I have faith in God’s promises? There is spiritual healing that I’m hoping and praying for, but do I have faith that it will happen? What actions do I need to take to show God that I have the faith to obey even if I don’t see the benefits now?

Prayer:
Father, help my unbelief. You’ve promised direction and healing and by faith I want to claim both. Help me to both know and obey Your commands, that I might be found faithful. I have faith in Your command over the cosmic things and I will work on my faith for the spiritual changes I want to see.
