Scripture:
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.” ~Micah 6:8

Observation:
Micah is saying that it isn’t sacrifices or gifts that God desires in exchange for the favor and grace He has already shown. What God desires is justice, mercy, and a humble relationship.

Application:
Do I act fairly in all my dealings? I do my best to always be honest, but do I ever act dishonestly? Am I merciful to others or do I condemn them? Am I walking humbly with God, or am I proudly trying to go my own way?

Prayer:
Father, I know that there is no thing I could offer You that would mean anything. Not my money, not my talents, none of that. You desire honesty and mercy with others and for me to walk humbly with You. I try to always honest and sometimes I do better with mercy than others. Mostly help me to walk humbly with You instead of pursuing my own agenda in my selfishness and pride.
