Daily Bible Podcast Day 189 – Hosea 13-14, Psalm 100, 102, Hebrews 5

“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.” ~Psalm 100:1-2

God made and we are His. He is always faithful, so we are to praise Him joyfully.

Since I am a worship musician by profession, I spend a fair amount of time singing joyful songs to the Lord. However, sometimes this is just rehearsal or practice and I’m not consciously worshiping. Also, when I’m on stage, am I singing to and for God, or am I more worried about how my singing sounds to the congregation?

Father, I will keep in mind that, even when I’m rehearsing, I can still think about the words of the songs I sing and use that time as worship as well. Help me to also not worry about how the quality of my singing is perceived, only that I am singing earnestly to You. I leave the hearts of the people who hear me sing up to You.
