Scripture:
“Not to us, Lord, not to us
but to your name be the glory,
because of your love and faithfulness.” ~Psalm 115:1

Observation:
The Psalmist reminds us that we don’t deserve the glory. Our names are nothing compared to the Name Above All Names.

Application:
I am usually looking out for myself. I want to be revered. I want to be recognized. I want my way. I want the glory. But the glory isn’t due me. What have I done? Nothing? What has anyone done, really?

Prayer:
Father, not to my name, but to Yours be the glory. Purge me of the unhealthy desire to have my way and be revered by others. Show me how to revere You and show others how to do the same. It is Your love and faithfulness that is worth glorifying, not whatever little thing I might have done.
