Daily Bible Podcast Day 180 – Amos 4-6, Psalm 86, Titus 1

“Bring joy to your servant, Lord,
for I put my trust in you.

You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you.
Hear my prayer, Lord;
listen to my cry for mercy.
When I am in distress, I call to you,
because you answer me.” ~Psalm 86:4-7

This Psalm is very much about David calling out to God in his distress. God is faithful and hears David’s cries for help and intervenes on his behalf.

I can pray as David did. Even though I don’t have political and military enemies, I still face difficulties that I can be delivered from.

Father, I’m trying to put my trust in You, but it is often difficult. Hear my prayers and my cries for mercy and show me Your love. As David did, I ask for joy because there’s too often little to be even happy about. I’m calling, please answer.
