Scripture:
“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.” ~1 Timothy 15-16

Observation:
Paul is saying that since he is the worst offender, God is showing His incredible mercy by forgiving even Paul. That he also commissioned Paul to write so much of the New Testament is further proof of his forgiveness and willingness to use even those formerly the worst.

Application:
No matter how bad I think my sin might be, God still had and has patience to forgive and use me to further His kingdom. I can be an example of God’s patience and love to others.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your incredible patience. Thank You that my sin wasn’t too much for You to forgive. Keep working in me to remove the vestiges of sin still in my life and lead me to become a better witness to Your patience and grace.
