Daily Bible Podcast Day 144 – 1 Kings 9, 2 Chronicles 8, Psalm 136, Romans 5

“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” ~Romans 5:6-8

God’s way is so often just the opposite of what seems natural to us. God gifts us with what we do not deserve out of His love.

God was patient and loving with me as a sinner. Therefore, I need not only to be thankful to Him for that, but I also need to patient and loving to others who are sinners. I need to follow God’s example.

Father, thank You that in Your incredible patience and love You did not choose to condemn sinners, but instead offer Jesus as a sacrifice in my place. May I never forget the incredible gift that is and may I always praise You for it. Grant me Your patience and love with others who are still not reconciled to You; let me reflect Your heart for them.
