Scripture:
“I call to you, Lord, come quickly to me;
hear me when I call to you.
May my prayer be set before you like incense;
may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.” ~Psalm 141:1

Observation:
The sacrifices are a pleasing aroma to God. David is asking that his hands, raised to heaven, also be pleasing to God.

Application:
Do I call to God when I need His help, or do I more likely try to rely on my own devices? I need to call on God more often and more quickly, perhaps especially when I am trying to figure things out on my own.

Prayer:
Father, come quickly to me in my time of need, even if I am trying to work things out on my own. The things that I am able to solve on my own are few. Also, let my prayer and worship be an “aroma” that is pleasing to You. Hear my cries and hear my prayer.
