Scripture:
“God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.” ~1 Corinthians 1:28-29

Observation:
God uses the weak. It makes sense if you think about it. God wants people to realized that He is at work. That’s why weak people get the job. That way, when something amazing happens, people look at the weak person and realize that it was God who did it.

Application:
It’s easy to get discouraged that I’m not a great leader or famous or effective or whatever. I have weaknesses and it seems like things would be better if I didn’t have them. But, this is exactly why God might choose to use me for some purpose. That way, people can realize that it must have been Him, not me. My job is to be faithful and give Him the bragging rights.

Prayer:
Father, use my strengths and weaknesses to help make You known. I’ll do my best to be faithful, but I want to see You move and I want to be a part of Your plan of redemption. As much as I am able, I will give You the credit. It’s not like any good thing I have is apart from You anyway.
