Daily Bible Podcast Day 045 – Leviticus 23-24, Psalm 24, Acts 21

December 15, 2012 in Podcasts by Nathan

“Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not trust in an idol
or swear by a false god.

They will receive blessing from the Lord
and vindication from God their Savior.
Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face, God of Jacob.” ~Psalm 24:3-6

The person who can approach God is one who doesn’t trust in idols or false gods. Those who seek God will receive His blessing.

People don’t bow down to physical idols the way they did when David wrote this, but we have our own forms of idol worship and our own false gods.

Father, I don’t want to place trust in anything other than You. Forgive me when I place trust in my possessions or politics. May You be the only One I worship. Please bless me as I do my best to seek You.
