Scripture:
“‘Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.'” ~Acts 13:38-39

Observation:
Through Jesus, we can be set free from our sin. This is something that can’t be done merely by following a bunch of rules. “Everyone who believes is set free…”

Application:
The thing I don’t exactly understand is what does it mean to be “set free from sin.” Does it mean that I should stop sinning? Because I’m pretty sure that I believe (unless I’m missing something) but I don’t always feel set free from my sin. I wish I knew what I was missing.

Prayer:
Father, I believe. Set me free from my sin. I know that following a set of rules won’t do it for me. Set me free.
