Daily Bible Podcast Day 338 – Ephesians 1-4

October 4, 2013 in Podcasts by Nathan

“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” ~Ephesians 4:1-3

Paul, as Jesus does, encourages believers to live in a way that brings peace and unity. The Christian isn’t to look out for their own interest, but the unity of the whole body.

How well do these adjectives describe me? Am I humble, gentle, patient, forbearing?

Father, being part of the church can be difficult. Acting humbly, gently, and lovingly toward people who seem to be looking out for themselves is hard. Give me the wisdom and strength to lead and speak to me that I might know what my eventual role is to be. Keep me humble, gentle, and patient and I will do my best to bear with others in the love You require.
