Daily Bible Podcast Day 310 – Job 30, Psalm 120, Galatians 3-4

“For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: ‘Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.’ Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because ‘the righteous will live by faith.'” ~Galatians 3:10-11

Paul references the Old Testament in making his argument. the Galatians have turned from relying on faith to trying to follow the Law again. Paul points out that those who rely on the Law are condemned because it is impossible to keep the Law.

Do I live by faith, or am I trying to be sure that I “follow the rules?” I have to do a better job relying on faith in Jesus to make me better instead of doing my best (which isn’t great) to follow the rules.

Father, increase my faith, that I might live according to it instead of trying to observe the rules. I’ve tried and failed to “do what I’m supposed to.” Help me, through faith in Jesus to turn toward Your will and away from rules I will only break.
