Scripture:
“When he established the force of the wind
and measured out the waters,
when he made a decree for the rain
and a path for the thunderstorm,
then he looked at wisdom and appraised it;
he confirmed it and tested it.
And he said to the human race,
‘The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom,
and to shun evil is understanding.'” ~Job 28:25-28

Observation:
Job contains some of the best musings on the intricacy of God’s creation that I’ve found so far. Many examples are given of properties of the world that God has created and how they are beyond the scope of human understanding. We understand far more today of how creation is structured, and still the wonders continue. Our finest minds are far from understanding how everything works. No one person will ever understand it all. We should be staggered by God’s genius and power.

Application:
The sheer power and intelligence of God cannot possibly be overstated. The words don’t exist to do so. How often do I stand in awe of the incredible might and unfathomable brilliance of God?

Prayer:
Father, even today our finest scientists and biologists seem to be merely scratching the surface of what You have created. The complexity of everything is amazing. I praise You for the fact that You are so far above my comprehension. May I never forget Your love and wisdom and I will look forward to the day when I might understand it all.
